Glasfryn is a Victorian house built in 1890 originally as a vicarage and is situated in Llanybydder on the A485 road about 5 miles from Lampeter.
Glasfryn is accessed from a level driveway, which leads to the rear of the house, which is the car parking area. The driveway is suitable for wheel chairs.
Access to the house and bedrooms
The main entrance is via the rear door, which is approached directly from the car park.
Access to the building through the main entrance is almost level with a slight raised step of about 20mm (3/4 inch). The door is 920mm (36 inch) wide and leads directly into the hall.
Access through the front entrance also leads directly into the hall but as 3 large steps, each 150mm (6 inch) high.
The dining room and lounge are both on the ground floor accessed from the hall via 820mm (32 inch) wide doors.
All the guest rooms are on the 1st floor accessed from a landing via 2 flights of carpeted stairs and ½ landing. The 18 stairs are 820mm (32 inch) wide with handrail to one side. Doors to all guest rooms are 820mm (32 inch) wide.
The guest rooms’ en-suite has large shower cubicles, but no wheelchair access. There is a 100mm step into the shower. WC and wash hand basin are conventional. All rooms have good lighting, and there is a light on all night on the landings, and main hall.
There is a bathroom with Victorian roll top bath if guests prefer a bath rather than a shower, which is accessed from the landing.
